Rejoova Eggs Formulation
Vitamin D3 — 50 mcg (2000 IU)/serving
Description: Vitamin D is a fat-soluble nutrient, found in cod liver oil, coldwater fish, butter, and egg yolks, known to be important for the immune system and overall health. Over the past decade, Vitamin D has been the focus of much attention, as it has become apparent that Vitamin D deficiency is surprisingly common. It is estimated that more than 35% of the US population is deficient. The increasing rate of Vitamin D deficiency is often attributed to people spending less time outdoors and covering up with sunscreen when they venture outside. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with suboptimal fertility and poor pregnancy outcomes. Researchers have documented a link between higher vitamin D levels and pregnancy rates, and it is known that low Vitamin D levels are common in women with PCOS. Also, studies have shown higher IVF pregnancy rates in women who are replete in Vitamin D.
Support for Dosage and Format: Rejoova Eggs provides 250% Daily Value of Vitamin D from Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). There are two major forms of vitamin D found in dietary supplements; Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol), which is derived from plants and fungi when they are exposed to UV radiation, and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which is the form of Vitamin D made by skin when it is exposed to sunlight. Although cholecalciferol and ergocalciferol are absorbed equally well, research shows that cholecalciferol is more effective in raising and maintaining vitamin D levels in your bloodstream.
NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) — 300 mg/serving
Description: NMN is a compound known as a nucleotide, which is a basic building block of nucleic acids, most notably RNA and DNA. It naturally occurs in a variety of foods, including avocados, broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, and raw beef, and is also made in the body by chemical reactions involving B vitamins. NMN is found in every cell in the body, where it serves the vital role as a precursor for NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). NAD is an essential coenzyme for chemical reactions that create cellular energy and maintain cellular health, and every cell is dependent on NAD to help regulate essential functions like DNA repair, gene expression, and cellular stress responses. NMN levels decrease as we age, and, as a result, NAD levels decline, which may contribute to health conditions associated with aging, including suboptimal egg quality. Research suggests that supplemental NMN helps to replenish NAD levels within cells, thereby promoting healthy cellular function throughout the body.
Support for Dosage: To date, most of the research on NMN has been done in animals. However, the limited research in humans suggests that dosages between 300 and 600 mg per day show benefit and are well-tolerated.
Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone) — 200 mg/serving
Description: CoQ10 is one of the most popular and most well-researched nutrients for preserving egg quality and female fertility. CoQ10 is a small molecule with powerful antioxidant activity, found in almost every cell in the body, including developing egg cells. Within the cell, CoQ10 plays a direct role in helping the mitochondria, often called the “powerhouse” of the cell, to produce energy required for all cellular functions. With age, the mitochondria becomes less efficient and CoQ10 levels decline, resulting in a reduction of energy production within the cell. In a fertility context, this decline in mitochondrial function leads to poor egg quality and premature ovarian aging. While CoQ10 occurs naturally in some foods, such as salmon, tuna, organ meats, and whole grains, it is difficult to get enough CoQ10 through diet alone and supplementing with CoQ10 is recommended to ensure cells have enough CoQ10 to support optimal energy production.
Dosage and Format Support: Supplemental CoQ10 is safe and well tolerated at daily doses exceeding 1,000 mg, and dosages as low as 50 mg per day are considered to provide some benefit. Supplemental CoQ10 comes in two forms: ubiquinone and ubiquinol. There is quite a bit of disagreement in the natural products industry about which form is better. Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10 and is believed to be more absorbable than ubiquinone, and for these reasons, some experts suggest taking ubiquinol. However, ubiquinone is many times more expensive than ubiquinone and nearly all of the studies showing benefit of CoQ10 supplementation for various health conditions have used ubiquinone, which suggests that supplemental ubiquinone produces desired results at a fraction of the cost. Rejoova Eggs contains ubiquinone, which is a suitable supplemental form of CoQ10.
Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) — 20 mg/serving
Description: PQQ is often called a “longevity” nutrient. It is a B vitamin-like enzyme cofactor that helps to protect mitochondria, the energy powerhouse of the cell, from oxidative stress and promotes the generation of new mitochondria within cells. In a fertility context, the generation of new mitochondria is helpful for egg quality and ovarian function. PQQ has been found in various foods, including fermented soy products, green peppers, kiwi, parsley, tea, papaya, spinach, and celery. While the research into PQQ is still in its infancy, because humans do not synthesize PQQ, many people believe PQQ to be an essential nutrient, which means that we must obtain sufficient amounts of PQQ in our diet or via supplementation.
Support for Dosage: Data in humans on the use of supplemental PQQ is scarce. However, PQQ is a popular ingredient in dietary supplements, and is found in a range of daily doses, from 5 mg per day to more than 40 mg per day. Rejoova Eggs contains 20 mg per day, which is well within the range commonly found in dietary supplements.
R-Alpha Lipoic Acid — 15 mg/serving
Description: Alpha Lipoic Acid, or ALA, is a compound that plays a role in energy metabolism in the body. It has antioxidant-like activity that supports mitochondrial integrity, which may be helpful in promoting egg quality and ovarian function. Alpha-Lipoic Acid may be especially helpful for women with PCOS, as it may improve insulin sensitivity.
Support for Dosage and Format: There is very little human data on alpha lipoic acid to rely on to determine the most effective dose for improving egg quality. However, alpha lipoic acid is widespread in dietary supplements, and is well tolerated at daily doses ranging from 5 mg to over 100 mg. Rejoova Eggs includes R-alpha lipoic acid, which is the form naturally synthesized by the body, and the preferred supplemental form of alpha lipoic acid.
L-Carnitine Bitartrate — 300 mg/serving
Description: L-carnitine is an amino acid that is naturally produced in the body, and is also found in foods such as meat, fish, and dairy products. L-carnitine helps the body convert fatty acids into energy, and is also an antioxidant. Research suggests a benefit of L-carnitine for improving egg quality by preventing oxidative damage and for improving insulin sensitivity in women with PCOS.
Support for Dosage and Format: There is very little human data on L-Carnitine to rely on to determine the most effective dose for improving egg quality and female fertility. However, L-Carnitine is widespread in dietary supplements, and is well tolerated at daily doses ranging from 50 mg/day to over 1,000 mg/day. Rejoova Eggs contains L-carnitine bitartrate, which is a salt of L-carnitine and tartaric acid. It is one of the most common forms of L-carnitine found in supplements.
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) — 600 mg/serving
Description: NAC is a precursor to glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant. It also has powerful anti-inflammatory activity. With respect to female fertility, NAC is most well-studied in women with PCOS, where it has demonstrated the ability to support healthy ovulation by improving the insulin response. But, even for women without PCOS, the antioxidant activity of NAC is believed to support egg quality.
Support for Dosage: There is very little human data on NAC to rely on to determine the most effective dose for improving egg quality and female fertility. However, in a study of recurrent miscarriage, a dose of 600 mg per day was used. And, NAC is widespread in dietary supplements, with daily dosages of more than 1,000 mg per day being well tolerated.
Ovary Extract — 500 mg/serving
Description: Glandular therapy, i.e. supplementing with organ and gland extracts from animals, has long been an important form of medicine. The concept underlying the medicinal use of these substances is that “like heals like”. Therefore, supplementing with bovine ovary extract is believed to improve the function of the human ovaries.
Ovary extract is rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other nutrients specific to ovaries. The ovary extract used in Rejoova Eggs is derived from grass-fed cows.
Support for Dosage: Commercially available products containing ovary extract include daily dosages in the range of 150 mg to approximately 1,000 mg. Rejoova Eggs includes 500 mg per day, an amount considered to be safe and effective.
Sha Yuan Zi Extract (Semen astragali complanati) — 500 mg/serving
Description: Sha Yuan Zi is a widely used traditional Chinese medicinal herb for treating muscle, liver, kidney, blood, skin and reproductive system conditions. For female fertility, Sha Yan Zi boosts a woman’s essence or jing, also known as her vitality and reproductive health. It contains flavonoids, organic acids, glycoside, and triterpenoids, all of which contribute to this herb’s therapeutic effectiveness.
More broadly, research suggests a possible role for Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment of PCOS. In one study, the addition of Chinese herbal medicine to clomiphene (Clomid) improved pregnancy rates in women with PCOS.
Additionaly, a Chinese herbal formula composed of 15 herbs known as Zi Shen Yu Tai Wan has been shown to be clinically effective for improving endometrial receptivity, reducing the chance of miscarriage, and for improving ovarian reserve.
Support for Dosage: Sha Yuan Zi is commonly used, but dosage amounts found in commercially available products vary significantly. Rejoova Eggs contains 500 mg per serving, an amount believed to be safe and effective.
Liver Extract — 500 mg/serving
Description: Liver extract, typically derived from bovine liver, is highly prized as a dietary supplement for its nutrient density and its ability to improve liver function. It is rich in heme iron, which is considered the most bioavailable form of iron. It also contains vitamin B12 and folic acid, both of which participate in building blood, maintaining a healthy nervous system, and increasing energy levels. The liver is the most important organ of metabolism, so when liver function improves, metabolism improves. An improved metabolism creates high energy levels and greater feelings of health and well-being. Because liver extracts are an effective way to improve liver function, supplementing with liver extracts is beneficial any time the body is depleted or under stress. For patients with fertility issues, supporting the liver is extremely important.
Liver extracts been recommended for patients with chronic liver disease since at least the late 1800s, and several studies have demonstrated an ability of liver extracts to promote hepatic (liver) regeneration (source: Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine, Murray and Pizzorno, 2nd edition, 1998).
Liver extracts are also popular among bodybuilders and athletes due to its anti-fatigue effects.
Support for Dosage: Commercially available products containing liver extract include dosages in the range of 150 mg to approximately 1,000 mg per serving. Rejoova Eggs includes 500 mg per day, an amount considered to be safe and effective.

Rejoova Sperm Formulation
There is a large body of scientific evidence supporting the relationship between serum vitamin D level and overall semen quality, male reproductive potential, and testosterone levels. Additionally, multiple studies have shown that the active form of Vitamin D may enhance sperm motility and other sperm health parameters. A 2023 meta-analysis involving five clinical trials with a total of 648 infertile men showed that supplementation with Vitamin D may significantly improve total sperm motility, progressive sperm motility, and normal morphology.
Dosage Support: Rejoova Sperm provides 250% Daily Value of Vitamin D from Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).
Zinc — 15 mg/serving
Description: Zinc is an essential trace mineral found most abundantly in meats, fish, oysters, eggs, and dairy products. Zinc is an important antioxidant cofactor. Specifically, zinc si a component of superoxide dismutase, which is a crucial antioxidant enzyme that prevents cellular damage caused by the toxic oxygen molecule known as superoxide.
Zinc is involved in all facets of male reproduction, including hormone metabolism, sperm formation and sperm motility. Zinc deficiency in men results in decreased testosterone levels and sperm counts.
There is a significant amount of research supporting the benefit of zinc supplementation for promoting sperm health and male fertility, especially when testosterone levels are low. As a result, zinc is one of most commonly recommended nutrients for male fertility.
Dosage Support: Rejoova Sperm offers 136% Daily Value of zinc, an amount believed to be safe and effective for long term use. Zinc toxicity occurs only with daily doses far exceeding 50 mg a day for many weeks, as high doses of zinc can interfere with copper and magnesium absorption.
Selenium — 75 mcg/seving
Description: The trace mineral selenium naturally occurs in seafood, organ meats, and Brazil nuts. This essential mineral functions primarily as a component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which works with Vitamin E to prevent free radical damage to cell membranes. Low levels of selenium are linked to a higher risk of conditions associated with oxidative stress, such as suboptimal sperm quality. As a result, it is among the most popular nutrients for promoting sperm health.
Dosage support: Rejoova Sperm offers 75 mcg of selenium per day, which is 136% Daily Value. A daily intake of 50 to 200 mcg of selenium is considered to be safe. Levels exceeding 1,000 mcg per day can produce toxicity.
Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) — 25 mg/serving
Description: Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an antioxidant enzyme that is found in all living cells within the body. This powerful enzyme serves as the front line of defense against reactive oxygen species that lead to cellular damage within the body. Specifically, superoxide dismutase prevents the damage caused by the toxic oxygen molecule known as superoxide.
Given its important role in mitigating free radical damage and reducing inflammation, SOD has shown promise as a therapeutic agent in a wide range of conditions, and is indicated for any condition, such as male fertility, where oxidative stress has a negative impact. Research has shown that when combined with other antioxidants, SOD supplementation may improve sperm DNA fragmentation, progressive sperm motility, and normal morphology.
Dosage Support: Rejoova Sperm contains 25 mg/serving. This is a commonly found quantity in dietary supplements and is believed to be safe with long-term use.
Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) — 200 mg/serving
Description: CoQ10 is a small molecule with powerful antioxidant activity, found in almost every cell in the body. Within the cell, CoQ10 plays a direct role in helping the mitochondria, often called the “powerhouse” of the cell, to produce energy required for all cellular functions. CoQ10 is one of the most popular and most well-researched nutrients for promoting sperm health and male fertility. Research indicates a role for supplemental CoQ10 in improving semen parameters and oxidative stress markers and reducing sperm DNA fragmentation in men with suboptimal fertility.
Dosage Support: Supplemental CoQ10 is safe and well tolerated at daily doses exceeding 1,000 mg, and dosages as low as 50 mg per day are considered to provide some benefit. Rejoova Sperm contains ubiquinone, which is a suitable form of CoQ10.
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) — 600 mg/serving
Description: NAC is precursor to glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant. It also has powerful anti-inflammatory activity. As a powerful antioxidant, NAC is indicated whenever oxidative stress is present, which makes it an ideal supplement for male fertility. Research has shown that oral supplementation with NAC can improve sperm parameters by reducing oxidative stress in infertile males.
Dosage Support: NAC is widespread in dietary supplements, with daily dosages of more than 1,000 mg per day being well tolerated. Rejoova Sperm contains 600 mg/serving, a dose similar to studies showing therapeutic benefit.
Yin Yang Hu (Epimedium sagittatum, extract) — 500 mg/serving
Description: Epimedium is a large, leafy plant native to China. It is commonly used to promote male sexual vitality and is often referred to as “horny goat weed”. In Traditional Chinese medicine, epimedium is believed to tonify the kidney by strengthening kidney yang, dispelling wind, and eliminating dampness.
Support for Dosage: The dosage of Epimedium found in commercially available products ranges widely, but is commonly between 500 mg and 1000 mg per serving. Rejoova Sperm contains 500 mg/serving, an amount considered to be safe for long term use.
Liver Extract — 500 mg/serving
Description: Liver extract, typically derived from bovine liver, is highly prized as a dietary supplement for its nutrient density and its ability to improve liver function. Organic Acai Juice Powder — 400 mg/serving
Description: Acai berries grow on the acai palm tree, a plant native to tropical Central and South America. The popularity of Acai as a “superfood” here in the United States has boomed over the last decade, but the juice and pulp of these small, deeply purple berries has long been a dietary staple for the indigenous peoples of Central and South America rainforests. Acai berries are very nutrient dense – they contain healthy fats, low amounts of sugar, and essential trace minerals. But, the health benefits of acai are mostly attributed to high concentration of antioxidant compounds found in the berries. Acai is a much more concentrated source of antioxidant compounds, most notably anthocyanins, than blueberries and cranberries.
Adding acai berries to your diet is a smart choice for improving the overall quality of your diet, and may be especially indicated as a way to support antioxidant systems in your body. Acai is often recommended for anti-aging and heart health.
Acai may also play an important role in promoting fertility in both men and women. Given that both sperm and egg health are negatively impacted by oxidative stress, the anthocyanins in acai berries may help prevent free radical damage to sperm and eggs.
Results of one preliminary study showed that supplementing the diet of female mice with acai improved the oocyte expression of antioxidant genes and downregulated pro-inflammatory signaling compared to a placebo group, suggesting a potential benefit of acai for reducing oxidative stress in eggs. (Katz-Jaffe MG, et al).
Support for Dosage: Rejoova Repair offers a concentrated source of acai in a quantity that is considered to be effective and well-tolerated.
Trans-Resveratrol — 150 mg/serving
Description: Resveratrol is a naturally occurring antioxidant compound found in more than 70 plant species, most famously in the skin and seeds of grapes. The resveratrol found in dietary supplements is extracted from two botanicals: Vitis vinifera (Common Grape Plant) or Polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese knotweed).
Resveratrol is one of the most well-studied polyphenolic compounds. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, and it has been studied for its potential benefits for patients with diabetes, obesity, multiple types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, kidney diseases, and inflammatory conditions.
Resveratrol is also commonly recommended for fertility optimization in both men and women. Resveratrol reduces oxidative stress, thereby protecting against DNA damage to sperm. Studies have also shown that supplements containing resveratrol support sperm concentration, total sperm count, and sperm motility (Mongioli, et al). Resveratrol supports egg quality by reducing free radical damage caused by oxidative stress. It is also known to reduce testosterone levels, so it is believed to have benefit in relieving symptoms of PCOS. Resveratrol may also be beneficial for people with endometriosis by limiting the growth and proliferation of endometriotic lesions and by reducing inflammation.
Support for Dosage: The safety of resveratrol has been well-documented, and as a dietary supplement, it is well tolerated even at dosages up to 5 grams per day. Rejoova Repair contains trans-resveratrol, which is considered to be the more bioactive form of resveratrol. For male fertility, especially, choosing a lower dosage of resveratrol is often recommended, as too much can have a prooxidant effect. Rejoova Repair was formulated to provide enough resveratrol to support antioxidant mechanisms, without providing too much.
Pine Bark Extract — 100 mg/serving
Description: Pine bark extract comes from the bark of pine trees, and can be derived from many different species. The most common source is the Pinus pinaster, or maritime pine tree, which is native to the Mediterranean.
The popularity of using pine bark extracts as dietary supplements dates back to the 1940s when scientist Jacques Masquelier began studying the health effects of pine bark after learning that indigenous peoples of North America were using pine bark tea to heal scurvy and wounds. Since then, pine bark extracts have been found to be rich in polyphenolic compounds, with powerful antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activity. As a result, pine bark extracts are often recommended for anti-aging, cardiovascular health, neurodegenerative conditions, and cancer prevention.
The antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties of pine bark extract also suggest a benefit of this herbal supplement for sperm and egg health, as well as PCOS and endometriosis.
In a small pilot study from 2002, a pine bark extract (200 mg/day) was given to 19 sub-fertile men for 90 days, after which there was a 38% improvement in average sperm quality and a 19% improvement in average sperm function. (Roseff, et al).
Support for Dosage: The general safety of pine bark extract has been well established in research in animals on humans, and dosages ranging from 50-500 mg per day are well tolerated.
Trimethylglycine — 85 mg/serving
Description: Trimethylglycine (TMG), also known as betaine or betaine anhydrous, is an amino acid that is often recommended to support a variety of conditions, including liver health, cardiovascular health, mental health, cognitive function, exercise performance, and blood sugar metabolism. It is produced naturally in the body, but is also found in foods, most notably beets, and is available in dietary supplements. TMG possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and participates in methylation as an important methyl donor.
Additionally, trimethylglycine has a demonstrated ability to decrease homocysteine levels, which is crucially important in a fertility context. High homocysteine levels have a negative impact on both male and female fertility.
In women, elevated levels of homocysteine are linked to suboptimal fertility and pregnancy complications. In men, high levels of homocysteine is associated with poor sperm quality.
Support for Dosage: Trimethylglycine is a common ingredient in dietary supplements and is found in a range of dosages from 50 mg to over 1,000 mg, and is well tolerated and considered safe at even high dosages.
Apigenin — 50 mg/serving
Description: Apigenin is a flavonoid compound found in many plants, most notably parsley, celery, and chamomile. The therapeutic potential of apigenin is attributed to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties. As a dietary supplement, it is often recommended as a longevity and cancer preventative agent. It is also frequently used to support healthy sleep and reduce anxiety.
In a fertility context, apigenin is useful for its ability to prevent oxidative stress, thereby supporting egg and sperm quality. In addition, a 2024 review article highlights the potential benefits of apigenin for female reproductive health: “Apigenin can influence reproductive processes by regulating multiple biological events, including oxidative processes, cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell renewal and viability, ovarian blood supply, and the release of reproductive hormones. It could stimulate ovarian folliculogenesis, as well as ovarian and embryonal cell proliferation and viability, which can lead to an increase in fertility and influence the release of reproductive hormones, which may exert its effects on female reproductive health.” (Sirotkin, et al)
Support for Dosage: Apigenin is a common ingredient in dietary supplements and is found in a range of dosages from 50 mg to over 100 mg per day, and is well tolerated and considered safe at these dosages.
Quercetin Phytosome — 250 mg/serving
Description: Quercetin is a flavonoid compound found in many plants, including citrus fruits, apples, onions, parsley, sage, tea, and red wine. Like other flavonoids, quercetin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a popular nutrient for longevity, cardiovascular health, and cancer prevention. Quercetin also stabilizes histamine-releasing cells, so it is often recommended for reducing allergy symptoms.
Quercetin may play a role in fertility optimization by reducing damage to sperm and egg cells caused by oxidative stress. Additionally, animal studies suggest a therapeutic role for quercetin as an insulin-sensitizing and androgen-lowering agent, making it a beneficial nutrient in the management of PCOS.
Support for Dosage: Rejoova Repair includes quercetin phytosome, which is believed to be significantly more bioavailable than regular quercetin. Rejoova Repair offers 250 mg of quercetin per serving, which is dosage commonly found in other supplements and believed to be safe and effective.
Bone Marrow — 500 mg/serving
Description: Bone marrow is often recommended for its nutrient density. It is a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals, collagen, conjugated linoleic acid, glycine, and glucosamine.
